Charter and MOU Signing and First Diplomatic League EC Session


Last January 25, 2016, The Diplomatic League Charter was officially signed at the Office of UNIO, Department of Foreign Affairs, Pasay City. Present member organizations signed their Memorandum of Understanding with the League. The Executive Council was also able to adopt two resolutions.

The session was attended by representatives from Ateneo Project for Asian and International Relations, De La Salle College of Saint Benilde Leaders in Diplomacy, Far Eastern University International Studies Society, Lyceum of the Philippines University Manila Foreign Service Club, Philippine Women’s University Student Diplomatic Corps, and University of Santo Tomas Asian Studies Society. Asec. Jesus Gary Domingo, who is the Secretary-General of the League and Assistant Secretary for DFA-UNIO, was also present in the said session.

After the signing of pertinent documents, the League had its first formal session. The representatives discussed upcoming events such as, the Diplomatic Ball, Model UN 2.0, and Model UN Academy. The Executive Council President also presented the Diplomatic League and diplomacy.ph website to Asec. Domingo.

The Executive Council used their parliamentary rules of procedure in the adoption of two resolutions: Resolution on Membership and Resolution on Membership Outside Metro Manila. The first formal session of the Diplomatic League indeed became very fruitful.
